Bill Henderson, 73, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2020, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His positive, giving spirit and impact as a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother and overall humble human being will live on within all of us. He was passionate and dedicated to giving back and serving his community.

Bill is survived by his wife, Dawn, stepdaughter, Lindsay Knox, grandchildren, Paisley and Grady Knox, and sisters Linda D’Amato and Ellen Henderson.

Due to COVID-19 the family will be postponing a tribute for Bill until further notice.

When I first moved to Nevada, Bill and Dawn were some of the first people I got to know. How lucky was I? What a special man he was and will forever be. Always a kind word, a great hug, and an amazing smile. His desire to do right by his family, his friends, and his community were always so apparent. I am a better person for having known him. So thankful to have been able to call him a friend.

The golfing group from Rancho Murieta has been the beneficiary of years and years of Bill's warm welcome. In the years I chaired our group's golf outing, Bill always made sure we got CVI's best red carpet treatment. He was wonderful to work with and, in the process, became a wonderful friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to Jacki and Greg and all who loved Bill at CVI.

Many years of memories will Bill and the annual shoot we do at Carson Valley Inn. He isn't in any of our group shots because he is always the one behind the camera. Always smiling and always making us smile and laugh. Some of us have been coming for almost 20 years, Bill made this fun for everyone. Bill you will be missed! Team Angry Raccoon. Jeff, Kelly, Alex, Mark, David (Snake), Travis, Basil, Paul and Jake. Donation being made Carson Valley Community Food Closet in his memory.
