On April 23, 2026 the universe was gifted the warm, glowing, kind,
gentle, unassuming, humble, grateful, loving, nurturing soul of Liza
Bemis Firstman. Positive energy radiated from her being. Always
steady, down to earth, approachable, accepting, welcoming to all
who entered her orbit, we are warmed by Liza’s memory.
Liza found artistic expression as a gifted photographer, mosaic artist
and jewelry maker. Cooking, travel, time in nature, love of animals,
music, baby goat yoga, tending to her plants and trees were also
close to her heart.
Liza will be remembered for her unique blend of class and
casualness. Her dinners were legendary, as were her cookies. A lucky
few may still have one of the cashmere headbands she knitted.
A capable and resourceful NOLS graduate, Liza backpacked twice
around the world. On her BMW GS 650 motorcycle, she travelled on
and off road domestically and internationally with Llandudno, ZA, the
Alvord Desert, Benton Hot Springs and Titus Canyon being a few of
her favorite places. At home around any campfire, the sound of her
easy laugh will always resonate.
So fortunate and grateful we are for such an amazing collaborator,
channel and instrument of ease and peace for others.
Love you, My Girl…
