Patricia Louise Allen passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in Sparks, Nevada, one day shy of her 72nd birthday.  Pat was born in Wakefield, Rhode Island to Nancy Records and Gideon Allen. She graduated from South Kingstown High School in 1972 then  Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island in 1975 with a double major in psychology and education. Pat later earned her master’s degree in counseling and Family Studies at URI in 1986. Pat dedicated her thirty-year career as a counselor to serving students and families at Rampart High School, Manitou Springs High School, and the Bijou School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was passionate about helping children, especially adolescents, which was part of what made her a wonderful mother. Pat is survived by her husband, Richard “Vic” Miller, her four siblings, her two children, Oliver Robinson and Andrea Yockel (their spouses Madeline Robinson and Darnell Corbin), and her four grandchildren, Osric, Abigail, Rosalind, and Orville, all of Colorado Springs. Pat and Vic found each other later in life and shared many joyful years together, blending families and creating lasting memories. Over the years she enjoyed living in Rhode Island, Washington, Colorado, Florida and Canada. She will be remembered for her excellent sharp wit, her caring spirit, the love she had for those around her, and her incredible strength. Pat loved to make people laugh, was a creative and thoughtful gift giver, and was always capturing life on film, producing wonderful films her family enjoyed. She often wrote poems, essays, stories, and was always quick to make up a silly song to lift your spirits. She was a remarkable woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Pat’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://act.alz.org) or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://donate.nationalmssociety.org)
